The Edmonton Oilers acquired forward David Perron from the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday.

Heading to the Gateway City will be forward Magnus Paajarvi and a second-round draft choice in 2014.

Perron completed his sixth NHL campaign by posting 10 goals and 25 points while participating in all 48 regular-season games, but contributed only two assists in six playoff appearances.

Since arriving in St. Louis in 2007, the 25-year-old native of Quebec has tallied 84 goals and 114 assists in 340 games, along with nine points in 19 postseason tilts.

Paajarvi, the 10th overall selection by Edmonton in the 2009 draft, recorded nine goals and 16 points in 42 games a season ago.

The 22-year-old Swede has totaled 26 goals and 58 points in 163 NHL contests for the Oilers over the past three seasons.
