Chase Elliott can't remember a time he wanted to be anything besides a race car driver.

The little boy spent his early years at the race track watching his father, "Awesome Bill", win races deep into his 40s.

He's gotten his chance this year to pursue racing on the national level. A change to the NASCAR rules this year permits drivers as young as 16 to run in Truck Series races on ovals a mile or shorter in length and on road courses.

So the 17-year-old Elliott will make his fourth national start this weekend at Iowa Speedway in a joint effort between Hendrick Motorsports and Turner Scott Motorsports.

Expectations are so high on Chase that he became the first driver in the Hendrick development system in six years.
