New York Islanders goaltender Kevin Poulin accepted the club's qualifying offer of a one-year, two-way contract on Monday.
Poulin, a restricted free agent, was 1-3-0 with a 3.02 goals-against average in five games for the Islanders last season. He also made two playoff appearances in a six-game first-round loss to Pittsburgh.
The 23-year-old has logged 21 games of NHL experience over the last three campaigns, all with New York, and gone 7-9-1 with a 2.76 GAA.
