Elena Delle Donne of the Chicago Sky and the Los Angeles Sparks' Candace Parker have been chosen as the WNBA Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played from July 1-7.

Delle Donne earned the Eastern Conference honor for the second consecutive week after the rookie sensation averaged 16.0 points and 9.0 rebounds in the Sky's two games. The 6-foot-5 guard/forward has scored in double digits in each of Chicago's first 12 games and is shooting 95.5 from the free-throw line this season, best in the WNBA.

Parker took home the West award for the second time this season and the 13th time in her career. The first overall pick of the 2008 WNBA Draft averaged 21.7 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.7 assists in leading the Sparks to a 3-0 week.

Others considered for this week's awards were Parker's teammates, Nneka Ogwumike and Kristi Toliver, as well as Washington's Crystal Langhorne.
