Paul Wesselingh birdied the third playoff hole on Sunday to top Kevin Spurgeon and win the Bad Ragaz PGA Seniors Open.
Wesselingh carded a 6-under 64 during his final round to finish the tournament at 9-under-par 201 and claim his second victory this season.
"I'm just delighted. I love it here in Switzerland, it is a special place, and I even used to come here on holiday. They make us feel so welcome, and it is a great course and a special win," said Wesselingh.
Spurgeon posted a 5-under 65 to meet Wesselingh atop the leaderboard and the duo returned to the 18th hole for the playoff.
After they each parred the first two extra holes, Wesselingh birdied the third playoff hole to best Spurgeon and capture his third career European Senior Tour title.
Wesselingh entered Sunday five strokes off the lead, but he made that deficit up with an outward 30 that included birdies at the first, third and sixth to go along with an eagle at the fourth to claim the lead as overnight co-leaders Gary Wolstenholme and Santiago Luna struggled.
He then opened his back nine with back-to-back birdies at the 10th and 11th, but gave those shots right back with a pair of bogeys at the 14th and 15th.
He bounced back with consecutive gains at the 16th and 17th to grab the outright lead before closing with a bogey at the last.
Spurgeon, who was playing in the group behind Wesselingh, closed strong with three birdies over his final four holes to force the playoff.
Pedro Linhart (68) and Carl Mason (67) shared third place at 6-under, while Wolstenholme (73), Juan Quiros (70) and Bob Cameron (70) shared fifth at 5- under 205.
Luna (74) finished in tie for eighth with Steve Cipa (65) and Phil Jonas (71) at minus-4.
