LONDON – Marion Bartoli recovered from an early break to take the first set 6-1 from Sabine Lisicki on Saturday in the Wimbledon final.
Bartoli lost her opening serve, finishing it with two double-faults. But the 15th-seeded Frenchwoman then won six straight games to seize control.
Bartoli also reached the final at the All England Club in 2007, but lost to Venus Williams in straight sets. Lisicki, a German seeded 23rd, is playing in her first major final.
