The Pittsburgh Penguins re-signed forward Craig Adams to a two-year contract on Friday.
The 12-year veteran has been with Pittsburgh since the team claimed him off waivers from Chicago on March 4, 2009 and last season he scored three goals with six assists in all 48 games of the shortened season.
In 799 games with Carolina, Chicago and Pittsburgh, the 36-year-old has 49 goals and 142 points, while adding six goals and four assists in 93 playoff games. He won a Stanley Cup with Carolina in 2006 and Pittsburgh in 2009.
