Eastern Washington will play a Pac-12 opponent for the sixth straight year in 2016 when it visits Washington State.

The Sept. 3 game will be played at Martin Stadium in Pullman.

Washington State edged the Big Sky Conference team, 24-20, last Sept. 8 in the first varsity meeting between the two schools since 1908.

"It's always a fun and unique challenge to play a Pac-12 team, especially one just down the road from us," EWU coach Beau Baldwin said of the matchup between schools located less than 100 miles apart from each other. "The proximity of the schools adds to the excitement of the game."

EWU, which finished with an 11-3 record after reaching the FCS national semifinals last season, will kick off its 2013 campaign on Aug. 31 at Oregon State.
