Chivas USA was just a few minutes away from claiming its first win since late March, but Chad Barrett's goal in the 88th minute salvaged a 1-1 draw for the New England Revolution at the StubHub Center on Saturday.

Chivas had lost its last seven games and brought a 10-match winless streak into Saturday's contest.

But the Goats were in position to claim three points after a first-half goal from Laurent Courtois.

However, Barrett was able to sneak home the equalizer from a few yards after a cross from Diego Fagundez, forcing Chivas to settle for a point.

Courtois scored on a first-time shot from 20 yards after being set up by Tristan Bowen, while the Revs nearly equalized a few minutes later as Lee Nguyen's free kick crashed against the crossbar.

New England had the better chances in the second half, but just when it looked like Chivas would hang on and claim a rare victory, Fagundez picked out Barrett at the back post with a cross from the right wing that Barrett was able to force over the goal line from close range with a defender in his pocket.

The Revs have now earned two points from their last three games following a three-match winning streak, while Chivas only sees its winless run continue.
