Detroit, MI – The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim placed pitcher Tommy Hanson on the 15-day disabled list Thursday.
Hanson was scratched from Wednesday night's start against Detroit due to a forearm strain in his right arm. The move is retroactive to June 21.
The 26-year-old right-handed hurler owns a 4-2 record with a 5.10 ERA in nine starts this season.
The Angels recalled left-handed pitcher Michael Roth from Double-A Arkansas to take Hanson's roster spot.
