Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim pitcher Tommy Hanson was a late scratch from his scheduled start against the Detroit Tigers on Wednesday.

Hanson felt tightness in his forearm while warming up in the bullpen prior to the game. Angels manager Mike Scioscia decided not to go with the righty, instead choosing Billy Buckner to make the spot start.

The 26-year-old Hanson owns a 4-2 record with a 5.10 ERA in nine starts this season.
