The Pittsburgh Penguins have acquired forward Harry Zolnierczyk from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for defenseman Alex Grant, the team announced on Monday.

Zolnierczyk, 25, spent this past season with the organizations of the Ducks and Philadelphia Flyers. He played in seven contests with the Flyers, recording one assist and 36 penalty minutes.

A native of Toronto, Zolnierczyk spent most of last season in the American Hockey League with the Adirondack Phantoms and Norfolk Admirals and combined for 11 goals and 19 points.

Grant spent the entire 2012-13 campaign with the AHL's Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. Over 46 games, the former fourth-round 2007 draft pick tallied four goals and 16 assists.
