The Philadelphia Phillies placed pitcher Michael Stutes on the 15-day disabled list with right biceps tendinitis and recalled pitcher Phillippe Aumont from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Sunday.
Stutes, 26, pitched to a 5.17 earned run average in 14 games with the Phillies this year. He only appeared in six games with the Phillies in 2012 before missing the remainder of the season with right shoulder inflammation.
The 24-year-old Aumont had a 4.15 ERA and allowed 17 hits and 10 walks over 13 innings during a stint with Philadelphia earlier this season. The right-hander gave up eight runs in 10 2/3 innings with Lehigh Valley.
Aumont was acquired from the Seattle Mariners as a part of a trade that involved Cliff Lee in December 2009.
