Nate McCoy was 2-under through five holes and sat on top of the leaderboard of the ATB Financial Classic before play was suspended due to inclement weather on Thursday.
The first round did not get underway until 6:30 p.m. ET due to rain, and was delayed again at 7:22 p.m. before being suspended for the day.
Only 42 players were able to finish at least one hole before play was called for the day. The first round will resume at 7:30 a.m. (local time) Friday.
Stuart Anderson, Brock Mackenzie, Mitch Evanecz, Josh Persons, Kyle Kallan and Jesse Smith shared second at 1-under when play was halted.
Anderson was through three holes and Mackenzie completed two, while the remaining four had just finished one.
