Miami Marlins pitcher Nathan Eovaldi will start Tuesday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks after spending the first 2 1/2 months of the season on the disabled list.
Eovaldi suffered from right shoulder inflammation in spring training and has been sidelined ever since.
The 23-year-old righty was one of the pieces the Marlins received from the Dodgers in the Hanley Ramirez-deal last season. He started 12 games for Miami after the trade and pitched to a 4.43 ERA with a 3-7 record.
To make room on the roster, the Marlins will send reliever Edgar Olmos to Double-A Jacksonville. Olmos, also 23, has made five appearances out of the bullpen and has given up nine runs -- four earned -- over five innings.
