Dodgers-Yankees tilt postponed due to rain

Tuesday's game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees has been postponed due to rain.

The contest will be made up on Wednesday at 1 p.m. (ET) as part of a split doubleheader, with the finale of the two-game interleague series to be held at its regularly scheduled 7:05 p.m. start time.

Hyun-Jin Ryu had been tabbed to start for the Dodgers in Tuesday's contest opposite New York's Phil Hughes.

The Dodgers and Yankees were to face one another for the first time ever at Yankee Stadium in regular-season play. The teams last squared off in the Bronx during Game 6 of the 1981 World Series.
