The Minnesota Wild re-signed defenseman Marco Scandella to a two-year contract Monday.

Financial terms were not revealed.

The 23-year-old blueliner spent most of the season playing for the Wild's AHL affiliate, the Houston Aeros. In 45 games, he had two goals and 15 assists.

Scandella played in six games for the Wild this season, recording one goal. He played in all five postseason games in the Western Conference quarterfinals against the Chicago Blackhawks, posting one goal and one assist.

Selected by the Wild with the 55th overall pick in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, Scandella has four goals and 15 points over parts of three seasons.
