New York, NY – Vancouver Whitecaps FC forward Kenny Miller was named the MLS Player of the Week for Week 16 of the regular season on Monday.
Miller scored a pair of delightful goals for the Whitecaps and drew a penalty kick in his team's 4-3 comeback win over the New England Revolution on Saturday.
With Vancouver trailing 2-0 after 20 minutes, Miller helped change the momentum in the match when he drew a foul on New England's Andrew Farrell inside the penalty area, which forced Farrell to be sent off.
Camilo converted the subsequent spot kick to make it 2-1 before Miller leveled the contest in the 39th minute.
The Scotland international then capped his performance with an outstanding volley in the second half that put the Whitecaps up, 4-2.
