The Chicago Cubs have placed outfielder David DeJesus on the 15-day disabled list because of a right shoulder sprain.
DeJesus was hurt during Friday's game against the New York Mets when he slammed into the center field wall trying to track down a ball hit by Juan Lagares.
The 33-year-old veteran is batting .260 with six homers and 21 runs batted in through 59 games this season.
Chicago activated pitcher Shawn Camp off the 15-day disabled list to fill the roster spot. Camp, who is 1-1 with a 7.56 ERA in 20 relief appearances for the Cubs this season, had been sidelined since May 22 with a right big toe sprain.
