Cincinnati, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - The Milwaukee Brewers placed right fielder Ryan Braun on the 15-day disabled list Saturday with a right oblique strain.

The move is retroactive to April 27, a day after he left a game against the Cubs.

The former NL MVP is batting .318 with six home runs, 18 RB and a .361 on-base percentage in 22 games this season, having missed the last six before he was put in the DL.

To take Braun's place on the active roster, Milwaukee reinstated outfielder Logan Schafer from the DL.

The Brewers are in Cincinnati for a four-game series against the Reds.
