Dodgers activate C Ellis from DL

Pittsburgh, PA – Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday activated catcher A.J. Ellis from the 15-day disabled list and optioned backstop Miguel Olivo to Triple-A Albuquerque.

Ellis played in the Dodgers' first seven games of the season before undergoing left knee surgery on April 8.

Olivo batted .217 (5-for-23) with two RBI in eight games for the Dodgers.
