The Miami Dolphins claimed fullback Evan Rodriguez off waivers on Tuesday, one day after the 2012 draft choice was waived by the Chicago Bears following a pair of offseason arrests.

Rodriguez was cut loose by the Bears less than two weeks after being charged with DUI in Chicago on May 31. The 24-year-old was also cited for resisting a police officer without violence and disorderly conduct in Miami back in March, though those charges were later dropped.

The Bears took Rodriguez in the fourth round (111th overall) of last year's draft, with the Temple product making five starts and appearing in 12 games between fullback and tight end as a rookie. He recorded four catches totaling 21 yards last season.
