Neagle's late winner lifts Seattle over Vancouver

Lamar Neagle's goal in the 81st minute capped a 3-2 Seattle Sounders comeback victory over Cascadia Cup rivals Vancouver Whitecaps FC on Saturday at CenturyLink Field.

Camilo's 10th-minute goal for Vancouver canceled out Andy Rose's opener for Seattle one minute prior, and Camilo doubled his tally in the 26th minute to put the Whitecaps up, 2-1, at halftime.

But Servando Carrasco leveled the match from the penalty spot with 20 minutes to play before Neagle's goal in the 81st handed the Sounders their fifth win in the last six games.

Neagle set up the first goal with a nice through ball that Rose slotted past goalkeeper Brad Knighton.

But the visitors came right back and evened the score one minute later when Russell Teibert's cross was headed home by Camilo.

That duo hooked up once more in the 26th with Teibert's free kick allowing Camilo to score on a diving header from seven yards.

Seattle goalkeeper Michael Gspurning produced a nice double save on Teibert and then Nigel Reo-Coker to keep the Sounders within a goal, and Neagle drew a foul on substitute Greg Klazura 20 minutes from time that allowed Carrasco to fire home the equalizer from the spot.

Obafemi Martins was the architect of the winning goal when he got to the end line and pulled the ball back to the front of the net for Neagle, who turned it home at close range.
