Uggla and Medlen both homered in the fifth inning to give the Braves a 2-0 edge.

The Dodgers finally broke through in the eighth inning. Adrian Gonzalez followed with a groundout that moved Punto to third before Ramirez ripped a pinch-hit single up the middle to make it 2-1.

Los Angeles looked poised to tie the game in the ninth inning. Schumaker, who scored the game-winning run Friday, led off with a base hit to right field. After a wild pitch allowed Schumaker to move to second, pinch-hitter Ramon Hernandez grounded out.

Mark Ellis, who entered the game 0-for-3 with two strikeouts against Kimbrel, worked a a full count, but chased a 97 mph fastball out of the zone to end the game.
