The Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday activated shortstop Hanley Ramirez from the 15-day disabled list and placed pitcher Chris Capuano on the 15-day DL.
Ramirez had been out since May 4 with a left hamstring strain, days after he was reinstated from the disabled list following right thumb surgery on March 22 -- an injury which forced him to miss the start of the season.
The 29-year-old went 5-for-11 with one homer in four games before his latest setback.
Capuano, whose roster move is retroactive to May 30, is sidelined with a left shoulder latissimus strain.
The 34-year-old lefty has gone just 1-4 with a 5.45 earned run average in eight games (six starts) for the Dodgers this year.
