The Cal State Fullerton Titans jumped out to an early lead and never looked back en route to a 6-1 victory over the Arizona State Sun Devils in the Fullerton Regional Final.

The Titans (51-8) scored three runs in the first inning and two in the second which was plenty for starter Thomas Eshelman who allowed just one run and struck out seven batters over eight innings to get the win. Michael Lorenzen was just 1-for-4 but drove in three runs while J.D. Davis was 2-for-4 as the only player for the Titans with a multi-hit game.

With the win Cal State Fullerton advances to next weekend's Super Regionals where the Titans will square off with UCLA.

Adam McCreery was erratic in just 1 1/3 innings as the starter for Arizona State (37-22-1) as he allowed five runs while walking six batters to take the loss.

The Sun Devils defeated Columbia, 10-5, earlier in the day to reach the regional final.
