The Detroit Lions brought in some additional experience to their offensive line on Monday, with the team agreeing to terms with free agent guard Leroy Harris on an undisclosed contract.
Harris comes to Detroit after spending six seasons with the Tennessee Titans, including the last three as a starter. He opened eight games at right guard last season before landing on injured reserve with a partially torn ACL in his knee in November.
A fourth-round selection of the Titans in the 2007 draft, Harris started a total of 39 games between both guard spots over the previous three seasons. He is expected to compete with rookie Larry Warford, Detroit's third-round pick in April's draft, for the right guard spot left vacant when the club released incumbent starter Stephen Peterman in February.
