Philadelphia, PA – Ben Wetzler went the full nine innings to lead the Oregon State Beavers into Super Regionals with a 6-1 win over the Texas A&M Aggies that sewed up the Corvallis Regional.
Wetzler allowed just a single run on four hits and struck out 10 batters for Oregon State (48-10) which advances to take on Kansas State in a best-of-three series next weekend.
Danny Hayes was the offensive star for the Beavers as he went 2-for-5 and drove in three runs.
Jason Jester allowed two runs in 2 1/3 innings out of the bullpen in taking the loss for Texas A&M (34-29). The Aggies had advanced to face Oregon State with a 5-4 win over UC Santa Barbara earlier in the day.
