With their third win as many days the Louisville Cardinals advanced to next weekend's Super Regionals with a 12-3 victory over the Oklahoma State Cowboys in the Louisville Regional Final.
Nick Ratajczak went 2-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored while Ty Young finished the game 2-for-4 with two runs scored and a pair of RBI of his own for Louisville (49-12). Coco Johnson also went 2-for-4 with three RBI, including a single with the bases loaded in the third inning that plated two.
Joe Filomeno pitched 3 1/3 innings of scoreless relief to earn the win for the Cardinals who will face the winner of the Nashville Regional next weekend in the Super Regional round.
The win gives Louisville its third trip to the Super Regional round in program history. The other two appearances came during the 2007 and 2009 seasons.
Oklahoma State (41-19) got to the regional final with a 7-1 win earlier in the day over Miami-Florida. Against Louisville, Victor Romero went 3-for-3 with a RBI while Kenton Bevacqua took the loss as one of four different pitchers to let up three runs to the Cardinals.
