Cleveland, OH – The Tampa Bay Rays have recalled pitcher Chris Archer from Triple-A Durham to start Saturday's afternoon game against the Cleveland Indians.
The 24-year-old right-hander started 10 games for the Bulls this season, going 5-3 with a 3.96 ERA. Archer made his big league debut in 2012, compiling a 1-3 record and 4.60 ERA in four starts and two relief appearances with Tampa Bay.
To make room for Archer on the roster, the Rays optioned pitcher Jeff Beliveau to Durham.
