The Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday selected the contract of pitcher Peter Moylan from Triple-A Albuquerque after the team optioned pitcher Javy Guerra to Albuquerque following Thursday's 3-2 loss in Anaheim.

Moylan, 34, had a 2-1 record and 3.52 earned run average over 17 games with Albuquerque this season. Over seven MLB seasons with Atlanta, the righty registered a 20-9 record and 2.59 ERA. The Dodgers signed him on Jan. 16 of this year.

To make room on the roster, the club transferred left-handed pitcher Scott Elbert to the 60-day disabled list.

Guerra made nine appearances this season with the Dodgers, posting a 6.75 ERA over 10 2/3 innings.
