The San Francisco 49ers signed running back Marcus Lattimore to a four-year deal on Friday. Terms of the pact were not disclosed.

Lattimore was the second of San Francisco's two fourth-round draft picks (131st overall) in the 2013 NFL Draft.

The 21-year-old's college career was cut short in October after he suffered a gruesome dislocated right knee and tore three ligaments. Lattimore had surgery a month later before declaring for the draft in December.

Lattimore holds University of South Carolina program records for rushing touchdowns (38) and total touchdowns (41). Over 29 games -- 28 starts -- and three seasons with the Gamecocks, the three-time All-SEC selection finished with 2,677 rushing yards.
