New Orleans Saints wide receiver Joe Morgan was reportedly arrested early Saturday morning for allegedly driving while intoxicated.

According to the Times-Picayune, the 25-year-old was arrested in Jefferson Parish and booked for DWI and driving with no license.

A responding trooper arrived at the scene when someone called in a report of a disabled vehicle on the Earhart Expressway. Morgan was found asleep behind the wheel of his vehicle, which was parked on the shoulder of the highway.

The paper states that the trooper noticed Morgan seemed visibly intoxicated once awoken. When asked to step out the vehicle, Morgan was swaying his feet and smelled of alcohol.

He was taken to Jefferson Parish Correctional Center in Gretna, and Morgan's blood alcohol content registered at 0.218 percent, more than twice the 0.08- percent legal limit, the arrest report stated.

In addition, he did not have a valid driver's license, as a records check would show. He was booked at the Gretna jail and released the same day on $1,150 bond.

After the speedy wideout recorded 379 yards and three touchdowns on 10 catches his first season with New Orleans, Morgan entered the offseason as the third receiver on the team's depth chart.

He was signed as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2011, but landed on injured reserve that preseason.
