A person familiar with negotiations says the Buffalo Bills have reached an agreement to sign receiver Robert Woods, their second-round draft.

The person spoke on the condition of anonymity Monday morning because the team has not announced the move.

Buffalo selected Woods 41st overall out of Southern California last month. He was regarded as the most polished among the draft-eligible receiver prospects following a solid three-year college career.

Woods set a school record with 252 career catches in 38 games. He also finished with 2,930 yards receiving and 32 touchdowns.

He will be given an opportunity to compete for a starting job opposite Stevie Johnson.
