The Boston Red Sox activated reliever Andrew Bailey from the 15-day disabled list on Monday.

Bailey had been sidelined with a right biceps strain, last pitching for the Red Sox on April 28.

Prior to the DL stint, Bailey converted five of his six save opportunities. In 13 games overall this season, he has a 1.46 ERA and 20 strikeouts.

To make room for Bailey on the 25-man roster, the Red Sox optioned pitcher Jose De La Torre to Triple-A Pawtucket after Sunday's game.
