The Cleveland Browns agreed to terms with quarterback Brian Hoyer and running back Brandon Jackson on Thursday.

Hoyer, a Cleveland-area native, started Arizona's final regular-season game in 2012 and passed for 225 yards with one touchdown and one interception in a 27-13 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

The Michigan State product has spent most of his time in the NFL as a backup with the New England Patriots, Pittsburgh Steelers and Cardinals. Hoyer has thrown for 616 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions in 15 career games.

Jackson originally signed with the Browns as an unrestricted free agent prior to the 2011 regular season, but missed the entire year due to a toe injury. Last season, he played in just two games.

The Nebraska product has rushed for 1,383 yards and seven touchdowns in 54 career games with the Packers and Browns. Jackson has 112 receptions for 864 yards and two scores.
