James Hinchcliffe posted the fastest lap Tuesday in practice for the Indianapolis 500, the third straight day an Andretti Autosport driver topped the speed chart.

Hinchcliffe, driving teammate Marco Andretti's car, turned a lap of 224.210 mph on a warm, windy day at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Andretti, who was fastest on Monday, finished third at 223.570 mph in Hinchcliffe's car behind Panther Racing's J.R. Hildebrand (223.652 mph).

Three-time Indy 500 winner Helio Castroneves was fourth at 223.556 mph. Defending series champion Ryan Hunter-Reay was fifth at 223.332 mph and teammate E.J. Viso was sixth at 223.138 mph.
