Houston Dynamo striker Will Bruin was named the Player of the Week on Monday for week 11 of the 2013 season.

Bruin played a major role in Houston's 4-0 destruction of D.C. United last Wednesday as he was involved in all four goals, scoring twice and adding a pair of assists.

He opened the scoring for the Dynamo in the 16th minute on Wednesday when he settled a pass from Boniek Garcia and chipped it over the head of United goalkeeper Bill Hamid.

Bruin scored again in the 78th minute when he hit a first-time strike through the legs of Hamid and assisted on goals from Giles Barnes and Andrew Driver to complete the rout for Houston.

The MLS Player of the Week award is selected each week by the North American Soccer Reporters. The group consists of members of online, print, television, and radio media.
