San Diego, CA – The Miami Marlins placed second baseman Donovan Solano on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday with a left intercostal strain.
Solano is batting .278 with five RBI through 30 games this season.
The Marlins also selected the contract of infielder Nick Green from Triple-A New Orleans and transferred pitcher Henderson Alvarez to the 60-day DL.
