Michio Matsumura carded a 3-under 67 on Sunday and won the Crowns by a single stroke.

It was the third Japan Tour title for Matsumura, who finished 72 holes at 2- under 278, one shot ahead of Hideki Matsuyama, who also tallied a final-round 67.

Overnight leader Shingo Katayama (73) and Steven Conran (70) shared third place at 2-over.

Matsumura began the final round two strokes off Katayama's pace, but the 29-year-old jumped into the lead with birdies on four of his first seven holes en route to the narrow victory.
