Florence, Italy – Fiorentina's Adem Ljajic has been handed a two-match ban for insulting an official following the club's 1-0 loss to Roma on Saturday.
The suspension could have a crippling impact on Fiorentina's hopes of qualifying for the Champions League next season. The club came into Sunday's action one point behind fourth-place action.
Ljajic will miss Fiorentina's matches against Siena and Palermo but will be available for its final game against Pescara.
