Tampa Bay Rays shortstop Yunel Escobar left Saturday's game against the Colorado Rockies.

Escobar was taken out in the second inning after taking a pitch by Jon Garland to the left wrist. He was replaced by Ryan Roberts, who manned second base, and Ben Zobrist moved from second to short.

The 30-year-old Escobar entered the game hitting .174 with two home runs and seven RBI in 24 games this season.
