Colorado Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki suffered a shoulder injury and was forced to leave Sunday's contest against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Tulowitzki strained his left shoulder while sliding into home plate in the first inning. He tried scoring from second on Michael Cuddyer's base hit, but was thrown out by left fielder Jason Kubel.

He originally stayed in the game but was then replaced in the field in the third inning by Jonathan Herrera.

The team says he is day-to-day, He will be re-evaluated after the game.
