Motherwell scored two second-half goals in a span of five minutes on Sunday en route to a 3-1 victory over SPL champions Celtic at Fir Park.

The Hoops opened the scoring five minutes before the halftime interval when Gary Hooper found the back of the net, but Henrik Ojamaa answered for the home side right on the stroke of halftime to send the clubs into the locker on level terms.

After the break, Motherwell seized control of the match in the 50th minute when Michael Higdon converted a penalty kick to put his side on top.

Five minutes later, Motherwell were gifted a third goal when Fraser Forster directed one into his own net to make it a 3-1 Motherwell advantage.

The result pushes second-place Motherwell up to 60 points from 35 matches played, while Celtic remain on 72 points, having already locked up the SPL title.
