Steven MacLean's tally 13 minutes from time was enough to lift St Johnstone to a 1-0 win over Inverness on Saturday at McDiarmid Park.

Inverness was at a considerable disadvantage almost from the outset as David Raven was sent off just 12 minutes into the contest, reducing the club to 10 men.

But the visitors backline held firm for the majority of the match and it appeared they would somehow see out a draw, but MacLean finally found a breakthrough for his club with 13 minutes to play and St Johnstone held on to claim three points.

Elsewhere in Scotland on Saturday, Nail McGinn found the back of the net in the fourth minute as Aberdeen edged Kilmarnock, 1-0, at Pittodrie Stadium, while Dundee and Hearts traded red cards, but Ryan Conroy scored the only goal of the match to hand the points to Dundee.

In Saturday's final SPL fixture, Leigh Griffiths and Marc McAusland both netted braces, as Hibernian and St Mirren battled to thrilling 3-3 stalemate at Easter Road.
