The New York Giants have moved up in the fourth round of the NFL draft and taken Syracuse quarterback Ryan Nassib.

In order to take Nassib, the Giants sent their fourth-round pick (No. 116) and their sixth-round pick (No. 187) to the Arizona Cardinals to grab a young player who might be the heir apparent to Eli Manning somewhere down the road.

Manning has not missed a start in his last 135 games. He has led the Giants to two Super Bowl wins and was named the MVP twice.

Nassib completed 791 of 1,312 passes for 9,990 yards and 70 touchdown passes with the Orange. He took over the starting quarterback in his sophomore season and led Syracuse to 21 wins.

The Giants drafted Syracuse offensive tackle Justin Pugh in the first round.
