Indianapolis has selected Oregon safety John Boyett in the 6th round of the NFL draft.

The 5-foot-9, 204 pound Boyett is the first Colts pick outside the offensive or defensive line.

The 192 overall pick Saturday spent three full seasons with the Ducks and appeared in just one game during his senior season after having season-ending surgery to repair injuries to the knee.

Indy selected defensive end Bjoern Werner, offensive linemen Hugh Thornton and Khaled Holmes, and defensive tackle Montori Hughes with their first four picks.

The Colts also had the 24th and 48th picks in the seventh round.
