ENGLEWOOD, Colo. – The Denver Broncos have traded out of the fourth round of the NFL draft, sending the 12th overall pick to the Green Bay Packers.
In exchange, the Broncos received a fifth-round pick (146th) and a sixth-rounder (173rd).
That leaves John Elway with four picks Saturday.
The Broncos entered the final day of the NFL draft with three picks and one major need still unaddressed — pass-rusher, following Elvis Dumervil's departure to Baltimore. Elway noted finding a gem in the later rounds wasn't the same as 2011, when they grabbed Von Miller with the second overall pick.
