Napoli hopes to spoil Juve's party

The Scudetto could be lifted as early as this weekend if results go the right way, but Napoli will attempt to put the title celebrations of Juventus on hold for another week.

If Napoli fails to beat Pescara on Saturday, Juve can retain the Scudetto with a win over derby rivals Torino on Sunday, although Juve defender Giorgio Chiellini isn't anticipating a party this weekend.

"I don't think it's possible that Napoli will slip up," Chiellini told the Gazzetta dello Sport.

"They need to consolidate second place as soon as possible because AC Milan could win all their games before the end of the season.

"With all due respect to Pescara I don't believe they can stop Napoli. We just have to think about the derby, which is always a game that defies expectations."

Napoli has been in good form in recent weeks having earned 13 of a possible 15 points from its five most recent Serie A matches, while Pescara has claimed just one point from its last eight games.

Torino has lost three of its last four matches, and although the club is seven points clear of the drop zone, it would love nothing more than to put a hold on Juve's coronation.

Napoli not only needs a win to keep Juve from clinching the title, but three points would be another step toward securing second place.

AC Milan is winless in its last three games and now faces a bigger battle to hold off Fiorentina for third.

Milan is seven points back of Napoli, but leads the Viola by just one point with five matches to play.

The Rossoneri hopes to snap its winless run at home against Catania on Sunday, while Fiorentina visits Sampdoria.

On Saturday, Atalanta hosts Bologna in a battle of bottom-half sides and Udinese travels to Cagliari.

Siena sits one point above the drop zone and visits Roma, while Palermo resides one point below Siena and hosts Inter Milan.

Genoa, which has drawn three of its last four games, is also one point from safety and travels to Chievo, while Lazio invades Parma on Monday to round out the weekend's action.
