The Baltimore Ravens have selected safety Matt Elam with the 32nd overall pick in the NFL draft.

Elam was a two-year starter with the Gators. He fills the hole left by the departure of Bernard Pollard, who was cut after the Ravens won the Super Bowl.

Elam entered the draft as a junior. As a sophomore, he started all 13 games at strong safety and led the team with 11 tackles for a loss.

Baltimore entered the draft with 12 picks, including four compensatory selections that cannot be traded.
